KidsMatter Primary is a mental health and wellbeing framework for primary schools and is proven to make a positive difference to the lives of Australian children.

KidsMatter Primary provides the methods, tools and support to help schools work with parents and carers, health services and the wider community, to nurture happy, balanced kids.

HEADSPACE

headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds, along with assistance in promoting young peoples’ wellbeing. This covers four core areas: mental health, physical health, work and study support and alcohol and other drug services.  

Information and services for young people, their families and friends as well as health professionals can be accessed through this website, headspace centres, online counselling service eheadspace, the Digital Work and Study Service and postvention suicide support program headspace School Support.

FAMILIES ACT

Families ACT is a territory peak, not-for-profit, organisation which aims to represent the interests of children, young people and families and the continuum of services which support them, in the ACT and surrounding region. We take a broad and inclusive view of what constitutes a family and strive to improve the wellbeing of all families in the ACT and surrounding region.

PARENT LINE

 

Parentline offers a free telephone counselling service to parents and carers. If you would like to talk with a counsellor about any issue regarding bringing up children and family relationships, please phone us on 6287 3833 between 9am and 5pm.

You don't have to be in crisis to contact us!

By phoning us you will have access to:

  • Immediate counselling and support over the telephone from qualified professionals;

  • Information on other services;

  • Referral to other agencies;

  • Ideas and resources about parenting;

  • Ongoing telephone support and face-to-face counselling.

Parentline offers a respectful, caring, understanding approach to your parenting questions.
